The Founders

The Founders: Jerry Connor and Lee Sears

Jerry Connor and Lee Sears, directors of the award winning consultancy, Bridge, and authors of the book Why Work is Weird, believe that coaching is a very powerful way to enable personal change but was only being offered to the most senior managers in business due to the price tag. They were determined to find a way of being able to take the value of great coaching further down into organisations and to other parts of society.

Sue Stokely, with over fifteen years experience in the field (as a change consultant with British Airways and General Manager of an independent change consultancy) set out to build a business that could bring this vision to life. She now leads the team that makes the Coach in a Box approach a reality.

Our Regional Offices

UK, Europe and Americas

Coach in a Box was originally set up in the UK in 2006 before going global a year later. The UK office which covers these regions is the responsibility of Sue Stokely who combines her ability as a skilled coach with her commercial experience to help establish a customer base ranging from entrepreneurs setting their businesses up to some of the worlds largest brands who are now using Coach in a Box as a regular part of the Training and Development portfolio. The UK office consists of ten employees and an associate pool of around 40 coaches who cover coaching assignments throughout Europe, Africa, North and South America, coaching in a number of different languages.

South East Asia

Launched in 2008, the Asia office of Coach in a Box has quickly built a diverse range of local clients and coaches in this region. Led by Danielle Marchant who combines her coaching with a strong commercial background and many years experience in the L&D field, Coach in a Box is radically changing the face of coaching in Asia. From a last resort performance management tool to a powerful, cost effective and innovative mechanism for developing both Asian and Expat leaders and enhancing performance through mindset change. With an office conveniently located in Singapore, Coach in a Box currently serves clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan working with GMC’s, regional and local businesses in a range of local languages.

Australia/New Zealand

Launched in 2007, the Australia/New Zealand office of Coach in a Box has grown rapidly and built a reputation for delivering high quality, affordable coaching to all levels of management throughout the region. Led by Nicola Palk, a highly qualified Executive Coach, the organisation currently employs a staff of 6 and the services of a team over 20 Coaches throughout the country.  Our clients range from global partners to large scale corporations, as well as a range of local businesses from varying industries.  Coach in a Box also specialises in working closely with the education sector and has pioneered a number of programmes within this field in WA, SA, ACT and VIC.

Our Coaches

We are proud that our vision has attracted coaches of the highest calibre. Typically experienced and talented managers in their organisations, they join Coach in a Box already having trained in relevant fields. Each individual is then accredited through Coach in a Box's own three month programme before being invited to work with our clients.

They are selected because they have the training to work at a more challenging level. For example, many of our specialists are practising psychotherapists. In spite of their targeted role, all our specialists also attended the three month accreditation programme before starting work.
